How are people still playing RLFM?

I'm curious, how to people find out about this map and play it?

I mean, it's not like it's that convenient for b.net, I rarely, if ever, see it there. Do people play it in LANs or just among friends or something? Does anyone know?

it used to be a battlenet game (which is how i found it) eventually it lost its favor with B.Net (though it should pick up again with RLFME). Now people get the game from Epic War if they want it. Usually after releasing a new version, there will be about 100-200 downloads from epic war on it within one hour. Mostly people play it among friends/family members. I the latter. I originally started modding RLFM in order to make it more playable with my family, then I decided to release it to the public.

After I joined a LOAP hosted by someone in WC3, I am totally hooked to it. I keep playing LOAP maps until one day I joined a game, it is RLFM 9.22. That time I was so happy because at last I found a map which is stable. Unlike LOAP, people keep abusing their power such as the police and the mafia. From that moment. I fall in love with RLFM and I did not play LOAP anymore. Now I found that mapmakers will going to add the save command, it just so great that I did not have to start each game with 100 gold. I hope that the save command works on every new version.

I'm still playing, just not much ppl host it and I can't host it because war3.exe won't let me

I still play it...by myself. That's gotta be something right?

I remove the 8-pin cable from the dsl modem and hook my laptop up with my ancient-ass desktop (complete with equally ancient crt monitor ). Tada! instant two player lan party! Yay!

I also do that with other rpg's as well.
